If you’re a seller on Walmart, you’ve probably come to the conclusion that getting your products approved for sale is a bit like a game of roulette. While some sellers get their products listed with no problem, others have their listings rejected multiple times before they’re finally approved.

If you’re still having problems getting your products listed on Walmart, there could be one simple reason: you aren’t meeting the retailer’s picture requirements.

Here’s what you need to know about Walmart’s picture requirements so that you can make sure your photos are up to scratch and get your products listed in no time!

  • The photo should be clear and professional looking. If you use a smartphone camera instead of an actual camera, it’s important that the quality isn’t grainy or blurry.

  • No additional accessories, that are not part of the actual item, should be displayed.

  • The images cannot violate Walmart’s Trust and Safety standards.

  • For product images with zoom capability, images should be in 4:3 portrait format, and at least 1500 x 2000 px.

  • For product images with no zoom capability, images should be in 4:3 portrait format, and at least 600 x 800 px.

  • Only use photos taken by yourself or someone authorized by you (such as family members). If someone else took the picture, get permission from them first before using it in your listing.
